Rules: The dealer button will be a
“dead button”. Google “dead button poker” for more information.
Blinds increase every 20
minutes until the eight, which will increase every 15 minutes. See
tournament host for details regarding blind amounts.
Players will be evenly split between tables to start. Table assignments will be
random. Table assignments will be adjusted when the difference between the
number of players at each table is greater than one. Tables will be combined
when a maximum of 9 players can be assigned to each remaining table.
On a chopped pot, odd
amounts that cannot be split evenly with the chip denomination in play
remain in play for the next hand.
This is a table stakes
game. That is, the maximum amount you can bet on any one hand is the amount
you started play with for that hand. No re-buy in the middle of a hand.
A re-buy will not be
allowed once the tournament has been narrowed down to eight players.
The dealer will cut the
deck.
The dealer is in charge of
the hand. The dealer will make sure proper blinds are posted, any side pots
are managed correctly, determine the winners of the main pot and any side
pots, and push the chips to the respective winners.
Any conflicts that the
dealer cannot resolve will be directed to the tournament host, whose
decisions will be final.
At the showdown, the
player that bets must show both hole cards, or his hand is considered
mucked. Those who called have to show their hands or muck them in order. It
starts with the person who bet and then in clockwise rotation. Any hole
cards that are purposefully directed face down towards the dealer are
considered mucked and are no longer in play.
A one-card exposure on the
deal will be allowed, with the exposed card shown to all players, and the
card placed as the initial burn card. The deal will proceed as normal. Two
cards exposed on the deal is a misdeal and the hand starts over. Exposed
burn cards do not constitute a misdeal. Cards dealt in the wrong sequence
are a misdeal if the sequence error cannot be fixed, and the hand starts
over.
Players must verbally
announce their betting in a single intent – i.e. fold call, raise, all in.
Two action intentions (e.g. I call your $50 and raise $100) are not
allowed. In this example, the player would have to call the current bet of
$50, with no raise.
The cards speak for
themselves. No discussions or assistance may be given by other players or spectators.
